Cafè Chantant is an interpretation of vanilla in its most sensual nuance, bringing with it a breath of joie de vivre that, starting from Paris, arrived in Italy during the Belle Époque.

It was the beginning of the Cafè Chantant era, when even the ladies became regular visitors, eager to admire and emulate the movements and elegance of the chanteuses, the queens of the stage. The word was soon Italianized into “sciantosa”, as if to emphasize the charm and the subtly flirtatious femininity of its protagonists.
